Black and Asian communities are struggling to survive because they have borne the brunt of cuts in voluntary funding, a conference will hear today, the Guardian reports (p6).

Almost 60 ethnic minority organisations in London alone have lost local authority financial support since 1987, the conference will be told.

Cuts have hit a section of the voluntary sector already disadvantaged relative to groups for the white community. according to reports to the conference organised jointly by ITV Telethon and the London Boroughs Grants Committee.
