Nottinghamshire CC treasurer Roger Latham is one of the headline speakers at this year's LGC Public Sector Pension Fund Seminar.

Mr Latham will discuss the merits of active and passive corporate governance at the seminar, which will be held in Southampton on 2-3 September.

Somerset CC deputy chief executive Chris Bilsland will talk about risk assessment along with Roger Urwin, practice head at Watson Wyatt Investment Consulting.

Ronnie Bowie, senior partner at Hymans Robertson, and Hampshire CC treasurer Jon Pittam will talk about the future of pension fund funding.

Richard Buxton, director of Baring Asset Management's institutional and mutual fund group, will discuss investing in the US.
