Suffolk's chief fire officer is to face a disciplinary hearing after allegedly drinking on duty, reports the Daily Mail (p16).

Tony Baker has been accused of breaking his services rules by drinking at a fire station Christmas party. Baker is now currently on sick leave.

Suffolk CC's chief executive Peter Bye told the Daily Mail: 'Complaints were made last week that Mr Baker was seen drinking on duty.'

He added: 'I cannot discuss his illness. He is certainly not suspended from work.'
