the employers, if in fact it's the employers who can make the final

decision', Fire Brigades Union national officer John McGee told BBC Radio

Four's Today programme this morning.

But, he said, 'the message coming through from the employers is they're not

being given guidance on whether any new money is available for transitional

costs or otherwise'.

The FBU executive is meeting today to discuss further dates for strike action in the new year. An eight-day strike begins on Wednesday at 9am.
