Lochabar DC's former chief executive, awarded almost£70,000 for unfair dismissal at a Glasgow tribunal last October, has had his compensation increased by£16,000.

The Glasgow Herald (p4) reports that David Blair went back to tribunal in February, after the council failed to re-engage him as ordered by the previous tribunal.

He was offered a solicitor's post with no continuity of employment or restoration of his pension rights.
