MPs have urged a brake on all-postal voting pilots until more can be done to prevent electoral fraud.

The Commons ODPM Committee wants a new voter registration system and says electoral officers need more resources to prevent fraud.

Chairman Andrew Bennett (Lab) said: 'All-postal voting pilots appear to have increased voter turnout, but the government should not hold any more pilots after those in June, until it has addressed whether to change the voter registration system.'
