Implementation of the Freedom of Information Act may be delayed for another

three years, BBC Radio Four's Today programme reported.

The Act was passed last year and was due to come into effect in 2002. But

this may now be delayed until 2005, Today has discovered. An announcement on

implementation is expected from the lord chancellor soon, the programme

reported.
