A new-look, expanded millennium bug website has been launched

by the government's Year 2000 media co-ordination unit, in

conjunction with the Year 2000 policy team. The site will help the

general public, journalists and those involved in tackling the bug

keep themselves up-to-date with progress made by the government and

the wider public sector in tackling the year 2000 computer date

change problem.

Visitors to the website will find

* Answers to frequently asked questions about the millennium bug

* Press releases from government departments

* Parliamentary statements and answers

* Information on wider public sector and private sector readiness

* Contact details and email addresses

* Public awareness research

The website is designed to be easy to use and will be updated

regularly. It is easily cross-referenced and acts as a gateway to

many other useful millennium bug websites. To find out more, visit us
