Plans have been unveiled for a new architectural heritage trust for Chepstow that will aim to restore derelict and other buildings and listed structures, The Western Mail reports (p11).

Spokesman Peter Morgan of property developer Oldway Group said:

'The initiative aims to crystallise the joint working relationship of the public and private sector committed to Chepstow's future.

'The composition of the board of management will be announced shortly following the registration but it is known that the broadly-based interests of the parties concerned has considerably accelerated progress towards making the trust a major player in the regeneration of this gateway town.'
