Hackney LBC's parks co-ordinator and former Queen's Park Rangers winger Ian Morgan is quoted by the Daily Mirror (p44) concerning the forthcoming FA Cup fourth round tie between Newcastle and Stevenage football clubs. Morgan has told the Mirror that he is prepared for the match to take place on Hackney Marshes, stating: 'We have plenty of buckets and sponges, but we should warn Mr Dalglish (Newcastle's manager) that the sponge is flipping cold on Hackney Marshes because we use water straight from the River Lea.'
