The Secondary Heads Association is considering joining forces with other unions in taking action against large classes, The Times Educational Supplement reports (p5).

Until now the union has said such matters were up to individual members.

But the association is currently consulting its membership on a policy which could lead to heads being recommended not to arrange lessons with classes of more than 30 pupils.
