Nursery school teacher Lisa Potts spent her first day back at school this week, since being seriously injured while protecting pupils from a machete attack, the Northern Echo reported (January 7, p2).
Lisa, who has won numerous heroism awards, sustained injuries to her back and hands in the attack, at a picnic at St Luke's Church of England School in Blakenhall, Wolverhampton, last July.
