The Western Mail (p3) reports that Port Talbot's transformation from a steel town to a modern seaside resort will continue with the development of an £8m Hollywood style cinema and leisure complex.

Apollo Leisure, a large leisure company, announced plans - which could mean up to 180 jobs - which are hot on the heels of a £230m Welsh office scheme to bring 3,000 jobs to the town with a huge energy plant.

Film star Anthony Hopkins has been asked to open the development in his home town.

Neath and Port Talbot CBC leader Noel Crowley told the paper:

'The advantage we have here is accessibility. We are just off the M4 motorway and we have plenty of room to arrange good parking facilities.'
