  • Comment

Sirona Care and Health, the new social enterprise delivering health and social care in Bath and North East Somerset, scored above average on staff engagement in the NHS staff survey.

The community interest company, which took on NHS BANES provider arm and social care for the local council in October 2011, scored 3.77 for staff enagement against an average of 3.67 for social enterprises, 3.66 for NHS community trusts and 3.62 for acute trusts.

More staff than average felt motivated and able to contribute to improvements at work however the organisation scored poorly on the proportion of staff who had appraisals in the last year (72 per cent compared to an average of 82 per cent).

The latest on health and social enterprise, as reported by LGC’s sister magazine, HSJ.
