Council housing chiefs meet banks and building societies today to try to reverse a new rise in house repossessions, the Evening Standard reports (p25)

LBA Housing chairman, Simon Randell and Peter Challis of the ALA will meet the Council of Mortgage lenders as councils fear increased numbers of lenders are taking action to repossess properties.
