Hove BC leader Ivor Caplin says Eurosceptic MPs 'utterings' may be to blame for abusive behaviour against foreign students in Hove, according to The Independent section 2 (p4).

The article looks at the problem of crime against foreign students learning English in Brighton and Hove, who contribute to the economy, bringing in £700m in invisible earnings. The two police divisions covering the towns have joined forces to crack down on such crime, it says.

Mr Caplin said: 'I think that some of the Eurosceptic utterings of some MPs drives this feeling that anyone who comes and visits is somehow a threat.'
