Hyde Park, in Central London is set to be transformed over the Bank Holiday Weekend of 6-8 May, as the site for the official commemorations marking the end of World War II in Europe.

The three days of special ceremonies, exhibitions, displays, concerts and other events, reflecting the themes of thanksgiving, peace and reconciliation, are expected to attract huge crowds.

Heads of State from over 50 contries have been invited to attend and more than 8000 people will be providing entertainment over the event period.

The site will be open every day from 10am to 5pm and will re-open at 6.30pm for the evening concerts.
