Scottish business ratepayers will pay £60 million less than they would have done next year, following a further move towards rates harmonisation announced yesterday by Scottish Secretary Ian Lang.

The reduction in business rates includes the £10 million Scottish share of the rates measure announced by the Chancellor of the Exchequer in yesterday's Budget speech.
