The visit was organised by the British Army's 4th Armoured Brigade.

Israa Abd Wahab and Khalof Shamhood Alshaw, respectively deputy chair and second deputy chair of the provincial council, were among a party of 34 who visited Merton LBC, Wandsworth LBC, Westminster City Council, the Association of London Government and Birmingham University's Institute of Local Government Studies.
