An Isle of Wight primary school is backing a teacher who punished three bullies by organising a role-playing bullying session 3with her class, reports the Daily Telegraph (14 May, p4).

The parents of one of the six-year-old boys involved in the incident kept him at home in protest and refused to return him to school until the teacher is suspended or disciplined.

But the governors and headteachers of Love Lane primary school, Cowes, say the school's policy on detecting and curing young bullies is supported by the council.
