TNet's revenue from local government has soared 20% over the last 12 months and it has contracts worth £280m in its forward order book.

Chairman Lord Crickhowell said: '[Our] performance was driven by our strong position in the public sector where continued demand for ITNet's services in the local government market resulted in a 20% increase.'

A statement said the firm's success is largely due to a recent deal with Richmond Upon Thames LBC.
