IT, business process and e-services supplierITNET is launching a dedicated sales team to target the central government sector.

The new department will be spearheaded by newly recruited sales managers Stuart Wilkes and Graham Wilkins. ITNET believes that the initiative will mirror the success ITNET has already achieved in the local government sector.

Paul Johnson, ITNET sales and marketing director, says, 'The central government market represents a major opportunity to ITNET as the government is investing huge amounts in its e-government programme.

'We are well positioned to take advantage of these opportunities with our sterling track record in local government and Stuart and Graham's considerable experience in central government.'

ITNET's most recent central Government win was a£10.5m ICT contract with the South West of England Regional Development Agency (SWRDA). Recent local government successes include a£30m ICT contract with Southwark LBC, an£18m SAP win from Oxfordshire CC and a£3.5m CRM managed services contract with Haringey LBC.
