Based on ITNET Business Direct, the pay-per-user deal is initially for 1428 users over 11 years and is to support Oxfordshire's drive to integrate and streamline their working processes in order to meet the government's modernising and best value agendas.
Based on a template solution, ITNET Business Direct will enable Oxfordshire CC to deploy new business process practices in the minimum lead-time. The council also believes that these fully integrated systems will drive major efficiencies that will support better services for the Oxfordshire community, as well as providing greater flexibility and more timely and accurate information for its operations.
Chris Gray, county treasurer, Oxfordshire CC comments: 'Oxfordshire selected ITNET, not only for its expertise in SAP services and local government, but also for its overall ability to enable the council to meet the outcomes demanded by best value and e-government. This could not be achieved without changes to our ICT systems and our operational practices.
'We are constantly looking for ways to improve our efficiency and service delivery, to improve the quality and timeliness of information, and we are sure that there will be a positive change in the way we run our services.'
ITNET's managed application service, ITNET Business Direct, is a solution built on recognised best practice and draws on the company's significant experience of the local government market.
