DTZ Debenham Thorpe has retained the management of Kent CC pension fund's£65 million property portfolio. The council had put the brief out to tender earlier this year following the expiry of DTZ's contract.
DTZ had been managing the portfolio, a mixture of office, retail and industrial property, since 1995 on a three-year contract which was later extended for a further year.
Steve Conrathe, manager of Kent CC's estate management department, said: 'We were pleased to be able to re-award the work to DTZ. Their success with the portfolio since 1995 was the significant factor which led to their reappointment.'
Peter O'Gorman, a DTZ director, said: 'It is particularly satisfying to be reappointed on the portfolio in this manner as it testifies to the results we achieved for the fund over the four-year period of our previous contract.'
