Shadow environment secretary Frank Dobson is quoted in the Daily Express (p17) as saying that the party has no policies to tackle Britain's housing crisis.

During the launch of a Labour assault on the government's housing record, Mr Dobson admitted that there were no policies in the 14 page press release issued to back up the campaign.

Mr Dobson told reporters that 'a general feeling of well being' would revive the property market.

'The main thing is that we need to give people a feeling of security so they feel they can commit themselves to a mortgage,' he said.
