A Lambeth LBC investigation into allegations of a sexual relationship between a school nurse and a 14-year-old schoolboy has been completed, reports the South London Press (p2).

The council claims the relationship, which took place at Mortimer School, Streatham, only came to light after the pupil left school.

The report by Lambeth education director Heather du Quensay, recommends that the council's child protection procedures should be reissued to schools immediately and school governors should ensure that senior staff should receive training in the procedures if they have not already done so.

The report will be considered by an inter-agency strategy meeting which will determine what action is necessary.
