A MORI poll for the Evening Standard (p1) has given Labour an 18 point lead over the Conservatives.

The survey of 1,501 voters nationwide last night found the Tories remain stuck below 30% with Labour on 47%, enough to give Tony Blair a majority of between 175-190.

And an exit poll in Battersea constituency up until noon today has found Labour on 55%, the Tories 36.2%, Lib Dems 7.3% and the Referendum party on 1.5%. That gives Labour an 11% swing - enough to unseat transport minister John Bowis.
