In several pages of reports marking the anniversary of the Sea Empress oil disaster, the Western Mail (p2) reports that the oil spill had a disastrous effect on fishing and tourism in the area.

A report commissioned by Pembrokeshire CC reveals that an estimated£5m was lost in the fishing industry and£21m in tourism.

The paper also reports that Eric Harries, leader of Pembrokeshire CC, is one of four new appointments made by the department of transport to the Milford Haven port authority board.
