Controversy has arisen over plans to build a £225m film and television theme park n a green belt site in Hillingdon, west London, reports the Daily Telegraph (p4).

Plans by US entertainment giant Time Warner are opposed by the leader of the council's opposition Conservative group.

The Tory leader, Richard Barnes, told the paper: 'The prospect of so many visitors descending on the area fills me with horror. The site is the last remaining green-belt site of any true size.'

Council leader Chris Rogers said: 'A final planning decision will rest with the environment secretary, not the council.'
