Ken Livingstone has refuted allegations in a newspaper about his behaviour at a party in north London, calling them 'inaccurate and distorted'.

The London mayor pointed to the statement of the man who he allegedly assaulted at the party. Robin Hedges said he fell and injured himself, rejecting as 'false' any suggestion that it was anything other than an accident.
