Llanelli BC's public protection committee is consulting on plans to ban striptease acts in places which require a public entertainment license, the Western Mail reports (p1).

The only exception would be private clubs, says the paper. Public protection committee chairman Bryn Davies is reported as saying there was a case for the protection of the public but denied it was a moral crusade, the paper reports. Keith Evans, a LibDem member, said it is a ridiculous attitude and the public don't want 'fuddy duddy' councillors making such a decision.
