The Guardian devotes page six to an analysis of the Reith lecture given on BBC Radio by architect Sir Richard Rogers.

Sir Richard said: 'City planning is dominated by market forces and short-term financial imperatives P an approach most spectacularly illustrated by the chaotic, office- dominated development on the Isle of Dogs.'

The paper reports that all sides in Docklands now believe that redevelopment should have been done differently. One of the biggest mistakes was the absence of a coherent group fighting for local community interests.
