Inequalities of income and health are high on the government's agenda. Public health minister Tessa Jowell will set out the government's priorities for action to reduce social exclusion and promote urban and social regeneration at a conference on social exclusion tomorrow. The London Research Centre will present the latest data on poverty and inequality in the capital.

The conference is sponsored jointly by the Association of London Government, London Research Centre, London Boroughs Grants, the Health of Londoners Project, National Local Government Forum Against Poverty and the Peabody Trust.
