Marcus Herbert, who runs Hammersmith & Fulham LBC's environmental health office, is one of the subjects profiled in a series of interviews about weekend life, in The Independent magazine (10 Feb. p10).

At the weekends Mr Herbert becomes responsible for noise abatement and on one weekend was called out by people upset by car and burglar alarms and music in a next-door pub, The Independent reported.
