The East of England Development Agency has funded the first regional group to deal with red tape facing businesses.
The East of England Better Regulation Group, which brings local business together with regulators, found business people believe they spend too much time working out how to comply with regulations.
According to Deborah Boyd, policy development officer at the East of England Federation of Small Businesses - a participator in the agency - more help and support is needed from regulators 'who don't always appear to understand the
impact of new regulation on business.'
