A new scheme to help unemployed young people in London find jobs in the creative or entrepreneurial sectors, entitled TS2K, was launched yesterday, reports The Financial Times (p8).

The project, which was called Trafalgar Square 2000 in an earlier incarnation, hopes to find jobs for 4,000 16-30-year-olds in fields ranging from music and art to hard-headed business management.

TS2K has been set up with grants and private sponsorship and aims to provide training and the use of facilities such as rehearsal spaces and darkrooms.
