Scottish executive minister for enterprise and lifelong learning, Henry McLeish, will be the keynote speaker at COSLA's employee development conference next Wednesday (September 15).

COSLA's two-day conference, entitled 'People: The Engine of Strategic

Change', aims to promote the need for a lifelong learning agenda within local government and features speakers from central government, local government, other public sector organisations and the private sector.

Speakers joining the minister include Pat Watters, vice-president, COSLA; Charles Nolda, executive director, Employers Organisation for Local Government; Robin Bulmer, senior project manager, Scottish Enterprise; Linda McTavish, chair, Community Learning Scotland and principal, Anniesland College and Bob Mackie, senior lecturer, Glasgow Caledonian University.
