More people living in residential care will be eligible for a concessionary BBC licence, the BBC announced today.

New changes mean disabled or elderly people living in sheltered accommodation will no longer be disqualified because they share an external boundary, such as a party wall with a non-qualifying dwelling.

Local authorities and Housing Associations should apply for refunds to those schemes affected by the changes, say the BBC.
