The Sunday Times claimed (p10) that its survey of 11-year olds' test results has revealed that one of the country's most expensive primary schools was also one of the worst academic achievers).

It says that fewer than 1 in 10 of pupils at Arnhem Wharf school run by Tower Hamlets LBC reached the required level for English and maths. None achieved the standard for science.

The school opened two years ago at a cost of£3m, the paper says.
