A primary school teacher suspended for allegedly hitting two pupils is to face no further action from East Riding Council.

The Yorkshire Post (p4) reports that Kevin Crabb, head of Wawne primary school near Hull, returned to school after the Easter break after the Crown Prosecution Service decided to take no further action and a meeting of school governors decided he would continuing his job.

Mr Crabb, who is described as 'well respected, well liked and very caring', was accused of slapping two children in the face.
