The head of North Lanarkshire Council's direct works department has reached a settlement in an unfair dismissal claim, according to The Herald (p4).

Graham Forsyth was sacked from his£70,000 a year job, along with two other senior officials, in November following in a six month inquiry into a multi-million pound deficit.

Following intervention by ACAS the complaint was dismissed, but the terms of the settlement not disclosed.
