Total orders received by contractors for construction work in Great Britain in the third quarter of 1993 were 10% higher than in the second quarter of 1993 and 10% higher than in the third quarter of 1992. These provisional figures are based on the value of orders at constant (1985) prices adjusted to exclude normal seasonal variations.
