Teachers in Oxfordshire are being urged to take strike action against the latest round of spending cuts by the county council's education committee, reports BBC Oxford.

Because of a cut in government funding Oxfordshire needs to make £12m in savings, which could mean more than 100 teachers losing their jobs.

The National Union of Teachers is to ballot its members in the county about taking strike action.
