Hammersmith and Fulham LBC has admitted that six mothers have already withdrawn their children from the primary school where a nine year old was allegedly raped by five fellow pupils, The Sunday Telegraph reports (p23).
The newspaper outlines a number of other cases of alleged bullying and sexual abuse at the school.
The school serves a very large council estate, where 75% of pupils qualify for free school meals, over 40% have learning or behavioural difficulties and 42 % live with single parents. It is towards the bottom of the education league tables published this year.
A 1995 Ofsted report found behaviour in the playground was 'satisfactory'.
