Environment Minister Lord Arran today welcomed publication of a new Charter which sets out the legal rights of park home owners.

The Charter is published by the British Holiday and Home Parks Association (BHHPA) and the National Park Homes Council (NPHC), through their joint body the Confederation of the Park Homes Industry.

Lord Arran said: 'I am delighted that the BHHPA and NPHC have come up with such a positive response.

'The Charter explains clearly the basic legal rights of all residents and sets out standards which BHHPA and NPHC members are committed to upholding.

'This is good news for everybody, as it will help both park owners and residents to understand their rights and obligations. I would urge anybody thinking of buying a home to make sure that they choose a park committed to following the Charter.'
