The Commission are to publish revisions to their proposals for parliamentary constituency boundaries to take account of local views expressed at the recent public inquiry. The Commission have decided that no change is necessary to their provisionally recommended seats of City of Durham, Darlington, Easington, and North Durham, but have decided to revise their proposals for Bishop Auckland, North West Durham, and Sedgefield.

The Boundary Commission are to publish revised recommendations for the parliamentary constituencies in the County of Durham on 9 December 1993. As with their provisional recommendations, the Commission are required to consider representations about their revised recommendations within one month of local publication.

Representations about the revised recommendations may be made until 17 January 1994 to the Commission at St.Catherines House, 10 Kingsway, London WC2B 6JP.

The Commission must submit their report on the general review for the whole of England to the Home Secretary not later than 31 December 1994.
