Pathfinders in Lincolnshire

Legal Services Lincolnshire is operational, where the law departments of all but two councils have been pooled and savings of more than£1m are expected over four years.

This arrangement is also expected to help to overcome recruitment problems, as some of the districts were too small to offer lawyers the range of work to sustain an attractive career.

A procurement project has been set up, which anticipates savings of£6m over four years.

Councils are also working on collaboration in street lighting maintenance, disaster recovery in information technology, property management and building control, while business cases are being developed for shared services in revenues and benefits, street scene, sport and leisure services and culture.
