The independent Police Complaints Authority has completed supervision

of the investigation into allegations made against the deputy chief

constable of Surrey Police.

The investigation was supervised by PCA deputy chair Molly Meacher

and carried out by the commissioner of the City of London Police Perry Nove.

As is routine, a file has been sent to the Crown Prosecution Service.

The investigation was voluntarily referred to the PCA by Surrey

Police Authority in January. In the case of ACPO-rank officers, the

PCA plays no role in deciding what, if any, criminal or disciplinary

proceedings should follow.
