Animal exporters look set to be prevented by Essex police from using the wharf at Brightlingsea over Easter, reports BBC Essex.

It is understood controversial livestock exporter Roger Mills wants to send lorries through the town on Good Friday and Easter Monday, but chief constable John Burrow says he will not allow it.

The cost of policing the Brightlingsea exports in recent weeks already stands at more than £1.5m.
