Detectives investigating sensitive cases would have to declare whether they were Freemasons under plans being drawn up by the Association of Chief Police Officers, reports The Times (p8).

 

The declaration could be applied to cases involving investigation of complaints against officers, and corruption inquiries involving local government politicians and officials, says the paper.
